The charity auction proceeds to fund healthcare initiatives through the Fathers’ Endowment campaign

DUBAI: The Most Noble Number charity auction in Dubai has once again captivated bidders and philanthropists, raising a staggering Dh83.6 million in a single evening.
Hosted at the Armani Hotel Dubai in Burj Khalifa, the event saw intense bidding for exclusive vehicle number plates and premium mobile numbers. The highlight of the night was the sale of the coveted DD 5 plate, which fetched an astonishing Dh35 million.
Organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), in collaboration with Emirates Auction and the support of the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), e& UAE, and du, the auction was held in support of the Fathers’ Endowment campaign.
Bidding frenzy for exclusive plates
The auction floor was electric as some of Dubai’s most prominent businessmen, philanthropists, and collectors engaged in fierce bidding wars.

Among the five sought-after RTA vehicle plates, DD 5 emerged as the most expensive, with Muhammad BinGhatti, Chairman of Binghatti Holding, making the winning bid of Dh35 million. BinGhatti also secured DD 15 for Dh9.2 million, bringing his total bids to Dh44.2 million—more than half of the auction’s overall proceeds.
Other standout sales included DD 12, which sold for Dh12.8 million, and DD 77, which was snapped up for Dh12.6 million. Meanwhile, DD 24 was auctioned for Dh6.3 million, adding to the impressive total of Dh75.9 million collected from the RTA plates alone.
Luxury mobile numbers in demand
Beyond the headline-making car plates, the auction also featured 20 premium mobile numbers, which together raised Dh7.7 million. The most expensive phone number of the night, du’s 0584444444, fetched Dh1.7 million, followed closely by e& UAE’s 0565000000 at Dh1.6 million.

Other notable sales from e& UAE included 0500777777, which sold for Dh900,000, and 0500999999, which went for Dh740,000. Meanwhile, du’s 0584444448 drew a winning bid of Dh250,000. Each number was carefully curated to appeal to collectors looking for symmetrical and memorable combinations.

Fathers’ Endowment campaign
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, the vice president and prime minister of the UAE, aims to provide healthcare services for those in need. The initiative, operating under the MBRGI umbrella, focuses on honouring fathers by establishing a sustainable endowment fund to support medical treatments, equipment, and hospital expansions.
The Most Noble Number auction is a key contributor to this cause, drawing high-profile participants who not only seek exclusive number plates but also contribute to a meaningful charitable effort. The campaign embodies the UAE’s strong commitment to philanthropy and humanitarian aid.
Abu Dhabi’s online auction continues
While the Dubai auction made headlines, the charity initiative extends beyond a single night.
An online auction, organised by the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), features 444 special plate numbers and remains open for bids until 16 and 17 March. Among the most anticipated numbers up for grabs are vehicle plate numbers 10 (plate code 20) and 99 (plate code 2), as well as several unique motorcycle and classic car plates.
